We Found Fall Y'all!

Daytrip to Cloudland Canyon, Ga

It took 30 years, a job change, and a 3.5 hour drive, but we finally found FALL YA’LL!!

For the past 30 years, the only fall colors Chad has seen have been the green grass of a football field. While that was a wonderful life for us it was always strange that he really had never seen the changing of the leaves. So, this season we have taken advantage of the time and decided to try to find FALL.

We took a day trip to Cloudland Canyon. Cloudland Canyon is an easy 3.5 hour drive from Warner Robins. We hiked the West Rim of the Canyon, which is approximately 5 miles of rocky, hilly terrain. The leaves were gorgeous on the trails and in the Canyon. After the rim hike, we moved to the bottom of the Canyon and hiked another 3 mile trail.

The campgrounds in the park are great. They had large spaces and were very clean. Our friends, Dyron and Stephani camp there often and love it. The park also has cabins and yurts for rent. We definitely recommend Cloudland Canyon just for the day or for a full weekend of finding FALL!
